Quote of the day

I’m a type of person who likes to collect great quotes from any sources, whether is in the lyrics of the song, lines from movies and books, or inspiring words from my friends when we chat. It gives me motivation sort of like AHA moment, it makes me think positive or simply makes me smile.

Usually, good quotes are very personal. It moves you because at that time you feel the same way as the creator feel about his/her writings. That’s why sometimes good quotes has a different effect to someone else.

When I found something good about quotes I screen captured it, Favorited it (if its on twitter), or bookmark it (if it’s on the web). Just in case I need something to be inspired on then I can find it easily! So yeah, basically I develop my own personal information management system FOR RANDOM QUOTES! HAHAHAHAHA. Well, this is me practicing my education background. Everything comes from simple things at the beginning, right? LOL

One of my favorite quotes comes from Meredith Grey’s monologues on the first and the last scene in every episode on The Greys Anatomy Series. I’ve been watching that series since the first season was aired. Have you watch this series? You should. And thanks to somebody out there who gathered all Meredith’s monologue from season 1 - present on Tumblr. YAY!! You’ll be amazed.

Recently, I got stuck on few lines from Om Tomo and Om Emir. Both of them are Mubaligh at Punchbowl mosque. We've been learning Ibnu Majjah hadist since last year. Sometimes the two of them gives couple of sermons (nasehat agama) while we interpret chapters in the hadith.

Last night we learned about praying (doa) chapter. Om Tomo said everything that happened in our lives come from God’s will. Then we must address qodar (destiny) with full of gratitude. We shall not to worry or sad too much, because everything happens for a reason. If we hold on for that, if we ridho or ikhlas, Insya Allah we will face every problem easily.

Later, Om Emir gave his sermons about Habluminannas (human relationship). He mentioned about “Dipertemukan karena Allah, dipisahkan karena Allah”. I realized that there is no point in resisting what has become destiny.

Perhaps you’ve heard something good that change your life, please do share :-)
